• Parent Jump Start to prep parents for incoming school year and middle school transition

• Uniform fundraiser - created a closet for those students in need and for emergencies in general filled with school pants and shirts (apparel)

• Officially instituted “If you give a Dragon a Book Drive.” Our first donor, Bridge of Books Foundation, in Atlantic Highlands, NJ. We picked up the books to give to every student in our school as a holiday gift for December.

• Teacher Appreciation Luncheon pot luck from diverse cultures from our parents with festive photo-ops

• Bang Cookie Fundraiser

• Hosted Info session for parents and students with a Q&A of what’s to come for PSAT, high school applications, and even college! Alumni was invited and students/parents from Academy 1 got to hear first hand what their experiences were like. Our info session was open to the public so anyone in the Jersey City could attend.

• PTP hosted the National Junior Honor Society Induction for our scholars

• Scholastic Book Fair

• Continuation of “If you give a Dragon a Book Drive.” Every child received a $5 book credit so no child was left behind and was able to take part in purchasing a book of their choosing. 

• Raffles and fundraisers for the library to buy new books due to the loss of books during a recent flooding.
